Kansas Citians are a Creative Bunch
Kansas City is full of artists of all mediums, as well as those of us who may not call ourselves "artists" but who do enjoy "dabbling" in the arts. A perfect example, is the Kansas City Clay Guild, a volunteer-run organization that offers ceramics classes and more.
In recent years, the Crossroads Arts District has become a vibrant Kansas City community. Full of studios and galleries that showcase established as well as up-and-coming artists, Crossroads sponsors "First Fridays" where all the galleries stay open late the first Friday of each month.

2 Shout-outs to Waldo Oiseau:
Beautiful picture and technically excellent. Were you shooting with a tripod? You must have a very good lens to get an image this sharp.

Thank you for the feedback; it's really appreciate. I did not use a tripod ... I've learned how to stand very, very still. :) Truthfully, I've gotten pretty good at using my little canon A620 to take action shots (sans tripod). I've just recently started using one occassionally, though.
