Screenland Theatre, Kansas City

17th & Washington, Kansas City

Located on the edge of the Crossroads and Film Row Districts, Screenland is a fully renovated event center and movie theater.

Built in 1913 as a cold storage facility, it has been transformed into one of the most distinctive buildings in the Crossroads Arts District, offering up an eclectic selection of films. Sit your tush down in one of the theatre's coveted red leather loungers with a glass of wine or beer and watch a movie!

Kate - I don't know this part of KC. I have in-laws there and get over from time to time but I wish I knew the town better. I like the way the blown-up poster is segmented by the building. It would be great to get a shot of that door cracking open and someone peeking out through Swanson's cheek. I can't imagine what her psychonalyst's evaluation would reveal.
