Swizzling in Waldo

Swizzle, Gregory & Wornall, Kansas City

At the corner of Gregory & Wornall, Swizzle Bistro has taken up residence, hoping to do better business than previous restaurants in the same spot.

I am happy to report that Swizzle offers up a cozy setting, decent wine selection, and a small but excellent dinner menu. I ordered the pan-roasted chicken with horseradish mashed potatoes, asparagus, and wild mushroom sauce. I more or less licked my plate clean.

Your description makes me want to join you the next time you dine there. The red and blue bottles certainly stand out, don't they. Nice shot!

Ooh, makes me woozy. My siblings, their spouses, my wife and I were out drinking mojitos at the Cuba Libre bar in Philly Sunday night after dinner. I think the bartender had a very liberal hand. Repent, repent.

And, oh, by the way, my post yesterday had a similar theme, announced by James H. Baker, III.

Oddly, this picture works very well, the translucency of the light contributes to the colour of the glass bottles really well.

Nice photo, but the bar a few doors down has better food and better drinks. You should have gone to the Gaf.

Let me know when you make it to 75th Street Brewery, and you can use your wide angle to take a picture of me with my mug . . .
