Toto, We're not in Kansas Anymore

Independence Pass, Colorado (May 2007)

Okay, so it's obvious this photo is not of Kansas City, home of summertime highs in the 90s with equally moist humidity levels.

However, given our extreme summertime heat, every indoor spot ... namely, my workplace ... keeps the temperature as frigid as the one in the photo above! See how it's sunny? Makes you think it must be warm, right? Well, I have the same problem at work. I look out my window* and see the sun shining, yet I'm huddled in my chair drinking, of all things that should not be comsumed during the summer, hot chocolate.

*Okay, so I don't really have a window, but I can see a window over the top of my cube.

Nice scene Waldo. What a pity that the clouds have 'blown out', it's so difficult to get the right exposure in these conditions.

Well it may not be Kansas City but it's a beautiful pic. So, once in a while, what the hell LOL.

I don't know how you cope with suwh a temperature. I would die. And how did the pioneers do at a time when there was no air conditioning?

I thought that looked more like my neck of the woods!

Surely it must get a bit steamy in the summertime in Paris, too!

Given the heat in Jamaica right now I kind of wish I could go to this place even for a day and just chill out! :-D

Well I happily surfed a while on your blog's pages and photos. I must say that *each* your photo like their captions, deserve to be watched and read carefully. I really love them and this one, talking about sky, it's really beautiful. A wonderful skyscape !
