The Beautiful, the Scholarly, ...
... the Kansas City Public Library. The former First National Bank on the corner of 10th & Baltimore in downtown Kansas City became the new home of the Central Library in 2004. The Library raised $50 million to treat the beautiful old building to a facelift inside and out -- although the building already offered a classic mix of marble columns and ornate mouldings.
