THEME DAY: A Typical Breakfast

The Perfect Latte, The Roasterie Café, 6223 Brookside, KCMO

In Kansas City as well as cities around the world, a typical breakfast is often a big jolt of caffeine wrapped in the lovely foam of a latté.

Our lil' midwestern city hosts a bevy local coffee roasters, such as The Roasterie, which started in owner Danny O'Neill's basement, and is now located "above ground" at Southwest Blvd & 27th St. On Saturdays, you can stop in for a tour!

* Special thanks to the baristas at The Roasterie Café, who created this beautiful latté for me to photograph this morning ... and then whipped up another one "to go" as I made my mad dash for work!

my wife likes a latte but only about four times a year as a treat.

When I saw this in the portal I thought it was a cake. A latte - of course. Great way to photograph it.

Beautiful latte! I prefer tea, but that cup of coffee looks very tempting.

Nice photo. Like Jilly, I thought it was a special pancake. Do they do that to all the drinks?

Anu said...

Really nice photo.
I too thought it was some kind of pancake.
Beautiful latte!

If you take a look at the cup of latte and forget for a minute that is what it is, I thought it was a plate to put food on with a wheat design in the plate. Then I read the narrative and realized it is latte. Wow. What a fooler this is.

It is like one of those positive and negative pictures. Don't look at the near edge just throw your eyes out of focus a little.

Anyway, thank you for stopping at my blog and for your comments.

It is indeed beautiful and creative, but not substantial enough for me. Latte usually is my midday snack!
