Are these like prayer flags? The Japanese used to do something like this with words on paper that were then hung outdoors in trees. Over time the ink fades and the paper disappears.
My family and I ate at a Nepalese restaurant last night last night and the Buddhist prayer flags were all over. My law partner, who is very Catholic, has them in her office. I'm hoping to go to a photography workshop in Nepal in the fall and bring back some.
I am glad I found this site! I was looking for something else (a good location for a photo shoot in my city) when I found someone in my area who does the "Photo-a-day". I kept clicking on links (Paderborne, Germany) and then found yours. I grew up in Raytown and am excited to walk through memory lane with your photos. Strouds! My parents said they are opening another one. Oh, I loved it. And TP?? Yes, that was fun, too. Thanks so much for your photos! I will be browsing all week and bookmarking too see what else you put up. The vibrance and quality of your photos make it that much more interesting. I would love to do a photo a day, too...I will have to think on it and look into it...there are already some in my area, though.
oh no! it looks like somebodys writes all over you're sheets and cuts them up while they are hanging in the son to dry! was it the neybors that you spread the toliat papers in there trees? why is so much vandulism in kanada city?

Thanks again!
Very nice and much needed at the moment. By the way, we haven't gotten together in a while. Let's plan something soon.

Prayer flags are no good. There colorful.
It's better if we just pray to God. He likes to hear from us other than reading a flag.
With how busy She is, I agree that it'd get tiresome trying to reading little sheets of cloth flapping in the wind.
I'm use to seeing these on tops of mountains, but not in Kansas. I'm glad they are there too!
