Native Gardening in the Midwest
The whole concept of native gardening and rain gardens are becoming increasingly popular throughout the Midwest. Two summers ago, we took a rain barrel-making workshop through Bridging the Gap. And, this summer is my second year on trying to grow native plants ... but geez, it sure takes time. An instant garden it's not, but it's really great that for the most part, I don't have to water any of the plants. Grow Native is a great website to learn more about plants that thrive in the Midwest U.S.

3 Shout-outs to Waldo Oiseau:
Grow Native sounds like a great program. I had a native garden of sorts in my D.C. home. Well worth the wait for the plants to take hold and fill in. Nice shot of the faucet--pink!
were did you finds such a wierd-looking flowers?
I agree the metal flower is great. The whole native garden concept sounds pretty interesting.
