Happy Labor Day, & ta-da ... CONTEST #2

A fine selection from 75th Street Brewery

Happy Labor Day! I've been thinking of the concept of "labor" and have noticed that I've really been slacking in the photoblogging department. So, as of now, consider my dedication renewed! Today I will go out, I will take pictures! I will post them! ...

And as promised, may I present CONTEST #2 in celebration of my upcoming birthday.

Contest runs from Sept. 1 - 7 (today through Sunday night). The winner will receive a matted and signed 14"x16" fine art print of his/her choosing from the Little Bird etsy shop.

  1. Where can you find awesome scones in Kansas City's Brookside neighborhood?
  2. What is the name of the Kansas City roller derby league?
  3. At what specialty shop in Overland Park will you find homemade spicy vegetable samosas?
  4. Outside of what Kansas City drinking establishment can you find an old red London telephone booth?
  5. When is my birthday?
** The correct answers can be found on the Kansas City Daily Photo blog. Hint: the search field in the upper left corner is a good place to start!

HOW TO PLAY:
Send an email to waldo.oiseau@gmail.com with the following: your answers; your name and city; and tell me which print you would like from my Little Bird etsy shop if you are the winner! Contest ends on Sunday, Sept. 7th.

You ain't got nothin' to lose, and you know you ain't working anyways.

6 Shout-outs to Waldo Oiseau:

Is this brew a stout/porter? The bottle looks perfect for that sort of thing!

They'll put any of their fine beers in a growler for ya Kris. The middle one would be Good Hope IPA? Maybe the left is a Belgian Ale? Can I say the penmanship sux!

Anyway until you tell me otherwise I am gonna assume the last one was Possum Trot Brown.

The one in the middle is actually a mix of raspberry wheat and the possum trot. It has a special name, but I can't remember what it is. It's very good though!

Yeah, I actually remember that from years ago. It had a pretty ambitious name, something like "Nectar of the Gods" Despite not being a fruit beer fan I do recall liking it!
