Lunching About Town

Ray's Lunch & Diner

Ray's Lunch & Diner, Excelsior Springs, MO

Just 20-30 minutes northeast of Kansas City, sits the town of Excelsior Springs, MO. And any small town worth its stuff will, of course, have a local hamburger joint, right?

Ray's Lunch & Diner is a small, down to earth 50s-style diner where patrons still order from a menu board behind the counter. The cafe is "famous for hamburgers" and a secret recipe chili passed down from the original owner. Be sure to bring cash, because like any good diner, this place doesn't take credit cards.

Very interesting...Lois Anne and I visited a small Florida town yesterday and found a wonderful little restaurant/coffee shop tucked in between some other stores...

I'll post about that tomorrow or soon...

Thanks so much for visiting Ocala DP!

A bit off the track for me, but I'll try to remember it if ever i get there (but I may have a beer with the hamburger...) :-)

PS Thank you for the comment!
